It's time for year two.
We have a new venue this year at Cotswold Farm Park. The area looks good with a good mix of terrain and a location that will take most of you a little less time to get to as well.
The course will reflect the best the area has, and we will find a way to include as many interesting sections as possible to keep things challenging of course.
My preparation for the upcoming year of racing that is just getting started. I've spent the winter riding and running a bit, and hiking around in the woods around Santa Cruz, gathering dinner mostly. The year has been an exceptionally good one for local porcini and mussels.
Racing has begun too - my kick off was an enduro in Thetford Forest last week. Though it may seem odd that someone who lives in California would come to the UK to race in Jaunuary, it was a great day, and the weather was better than it was in Santa Cruz when I left. I am taking that as a good omen.
I'm also going to polish up the hints and tips section I worked on last year for the upcoming race. My plan is to add to the brain dump I started last year and help you to have a good, safe, well organized event, and to haul ass too.
That's it for now.
Hope to see yo out on the trails,

'...another fantastic event. I have done quite a few 12/24 hour races and... twentyfour12 is by far the best, layout and organisation is spot on and the course is always challenging with plenty of passing spots'

Wow. We’re up to number 5! With 1000+ riders, and the solo entries sold out! It’s very cool and rewarding to see this event progress.

Martyn and his staff have been working hard on the event this year too and have cooked up a few new things to keep things interesting. He’s mentioned some tweaks to the course, even more music (including an acoustic stage in an as yet undisclosed spot in the woods),some pro mechanics to help keep your bike running (and tools for those of you who want to do it yourself), and even more camping and showers.
